Your pet will cast spells in the order they are placed on his spell chart. Heal All can be used on your pet, but he'll just do it in the spell order he has, and only when he has enough mana - not always when you need it. Fireball and Frost don't work well on my character, since I can't aim them as well as my pet, unlesss. For shorter cooldowns, your pet can use Fireball, Frost, Haste. Your pet will only summon one skeleton at a time. Skeleton is a better summons for your character, since you can then summon multiple skeletons (I think up to 5). Archers and Zombies and Nether Imps are good summons for pets, but they do have a longer cooldown. It probably reduces shopping time regardless of who it's on. I always put animal handling on my character, because I often have minions of my own. My pet has a higher auto attack dps, which makes their summons much more effective as of right now, but according to the wiki, the cooldown is twice as long, but Heal All 2 on me, and Heal All 3 on my pet both had a thirty second cooldown, so I can't tell.Īnimal Handling seems to reduce shopping times when it is on the pet, but I can't tell if their damage increased. I won’t come out and say that you must buy this game, but I highly recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a something to keep you occupied over the next few months.Originally posted by linkfire12:I'm mostly wondering what passive spells actually work on pets, I'm having trouble telling. I could easily sink hundreds of hours into this game…twenty bucks is almost a steal when you compare it to sixty dollar games that offer a three-hour campaign. The co-op functionality, the user-friendly game mechanics, and diverse character classes serve to increase this game’s replayability to levels even higher than its predecessor. It’s certainly one of the better games I’ve played this year. It’s a classic example of a company taking a successful game (Torchlight I) and adding even more bells and whistles to make the sequel even better. In the grand scheme of things, Torchlight II is worth its price tag of $19.99 (as of 10/5/12) and then some. I find myself afraid to spend skill points for fear of wasting them, which is sad. Hardcore players who want to stick to their guns can simply choose not to use it. It just makes more sense to me that this game should continue to be user-friendly and implement a full respec option so that all players can be satisfied. Unless you know what skills you want from the get-go, which I can tell you now that most casual players won’t, you’ll be stuck with skills you won’t end up using. I don’t see how removing the ability to respec the points in their entirety will benefit the casual players (like Jennifer). I can see a more hardcore game implementing a mechanic like that, however, this game is designed to be friendly to the casual gamer. While I understand that this design forces players to live with the consequences of their actions, I must point out that the Torchlight series has always been a casual game, at least to me. If you dump a whole bunch of points into one skill that you discover won’t be using anymore later on…it’s too bad, so sad. My sole complaint, and it is fairly relevent, is that the game only allows you to respec the last three skill points you’ve spent. You can store items you find for your other characters in the “shared stash.” Torchlight allowed me to play from start to finish without any hiccups and so far, Torchlight II is proving to be the same experience…which to me, is a good thing. I shouldn’t have to rely on an auction house to progress further and see endgame content…but that’s a different beast that I won’t go into here. I’ll be honest, I haven’t touched Diablo III in months because of how insanely difficult Inferno mode is and how grindy it can be when it comes to finding gear. Diablo III is a rather large contender, but I am finding myself drawn to Torchlight II more because of its casual atmosphere. Having played all of the games in the Diablo series and having put countless hours into Torchlight I, I’m pleased to report that wading my way through monsters in Torchlight II was both satisfying and fun. This is a welcome addition to the Torchlight series and I commend Runic for making this incredibly easy to manage.Īlright, so we know that logistically, everything is stable and relatively seamless, but how does it play? You could progress a few levels solo one day, then jump into some co-op with the same character the next. As you progress, quit, and resume playing, you’ll be able to choose each time what mode you’d like to play in. There’s a few more options to choose from this time around.Īfter choosing a difficulty, you’ll have the option to play single player or multiplayer via network or LAN.

Phantom especially so, due to being able to use Paladin's i-frames, Dark Sight, Final Cut, Cross Surge, and Bullseye Shot. Phantom: In case it wasn't obvious by now, thieves are pretty juicy at bossing. Many people in endgame scenarios also job change to Dual Blade if that's what a party prefers to have, due to ridiculous burst in its 5th job Blade Storm, Final Cut, and overall pretending their IED stat is more of a gentle suggestion rather than an actual goddamn stat. It's no wonder it's one of the most wanted bossing classes. Dark Sight is also god damn amazing for padding your survivability. Night Lord : Spread Throw in 5th job is fucking amazing for the burst-style bossing we see in endgame scenarios. Not as flashy as the other classes, but no less fun, especially if you want a monkey companion and the sheer mobility to fling your body at subsonic speeds across any map, even beating out Angelic Buster mobility in my opinion. And never forget: LOTS AND LOTS OF LIIINES. Extremely easy to train up early too (one of the fastest early mobbers in the game), so the early levels are never a chore.Ĭannoneer: The class that I personally main! Throwing this in here for the class's super-long horizontal range on all of its mobbing abilities, especially the 5th job Cannon of Mass Destruction, which crawls across the map and melts anything it touches. The samurai aesthetic is also pretty neat, too. They get really damn fun to use after you get Falcon's Honor at 170, and their 5th job skills are even more phenomenal. Lotsa dashes, slices, mobility, and big big numbers to make you feel good. Hayato: Easily one of the best, if not the best, warrior class archetype for mobbing. Also cute aesthetics, so if that's your thing, all the more power to ya. Their mobility is very powerful, so that also bolsters both your mobbing and bossing capabilities. Multiple full-map attacks, one of which follows you around the map and blasts everything into paste, Soul Seekers that work kinda like Assassin Marks, and a VERY hard-hitting mobbing move aside from those. grating, after a while, so I'd recommend you go into the options and turn it down, but damn if they aren't wildly effective. If you want to kill things by dropping literal trains on them, over and over again, pick this.Īngelic Buster: This class's skill sound effects can be. Not to mention you have like 4 or 5 different full-map carnage moves, and very good mobbing even if you discount all of them. Kinesis: A bit weird to get used to, but holy shit this guy's attacks look amazing. This is a pretty comfortable class to get used to, since it has a great mix of damage, utility and support, and can definitely take you very far. It's on the weak side for damage until you get going with the meso farming, but on the upside, you will have people throwing themselves at your feet and kissing the very ground you walk on, all for you to Kishin their map or aid their bossing parties, so expect a pretty easy road to level 225-230 with all the gear that it entails.ĭemon Slayer: Very solid mobbing, and a super short cooldown on his full-map attack too! Also a very sustainable class for you and your party during bossing, offering a party HP leech ability in 4th job. Kanna: You're gonna have to make one of these anyways to progress in Reboot at any reasonable pace, but you can also choose to main this class. If you like turning an entire map into ice, then this is the class to pick. Training from level 100-200 on this class is easier than most, and goes into maniac mode past 200. Ice/Lightning Mage: It isn't god tier anymore, but is still an earth-shatteringly good mobbing class. They're bandwagoned pretty abundantly, though, so if you want to tread the road less traveled, you may want to read on. Also one of the most sought-after bossing classes. Showdown has a built-in boost to EXP and drop, as well as Assassin Mark to really get going once you're strong enough to 1-2shot with it, though it takes quite some time to get that strong. It is kinda one-dimensional, but its usefulness in endgame scenarios should not be ignored, which earns it a spot on this list despite its simplistic playstyle. Night Lord: Very effective mobbing and bossing class. Mobility is kinda average, but that's the price to pay for owning some of the best offensive skills in the game. He's no slouch at bossing, either, especially with its busted new 5th job skill coming in a couple months. Very little matches up to how ridiculous Reflection's range is, and being able to one-shot with it turns the grinding game into Cakewalk City. Luminous: Arguably the big kahuna of mobbing. MOBBING CLASSES THAT AREN'T ONE-DIMENSIONAL/BORING: Reposting something I wrote a while back, and adding more info: This is a webcam diagnostic application used for troubleshooting issues with webcams not working in a Webex meeting.
Team #9 – Jet/Sebastian/Keira/Andvari/Rufus Massively buffed for pure damage, this causes Sebastian to deal a lot of damage while Keira will trigger her skill multiple times and skyrocket damage. Team #8 – Martha/Celeste/Satori/Andvari/Luther Very well-balanced team and great to counter complicated teams with K’arkh. Team #7 – Thea/Orion/Nebula/Keira/Astaroth Probably the craziest AoE team in Hero Wars! Keira and Orion use their explosion andNabula buffs them while Astaroth can resurrect. Team #6 – Dorian/Jorgen/Nebula/Elmir/Clever Jorgen suppresses enemy energy generation, Cleaver disrupts their positions and dealing damage along with Elmir who will survive with the help of Dorian. So cleaver will deal damage to himself like he normally would and you get the bonus damage from Peppy along with it. The synergy here is that Cleaver will damage himself when dealing damage to enemies with his Putrefaction skill and this will trigger Peppy’s Boldness skill that whenever that happens she will deal direct damage to the nearest enemies. K’arkh + Kai: make a great combination with Kai’s ultimate attack that makes K’arkh attack the whole enemy team.Ĭleaver + Peppy: Let’s not get into the fact that Cleaver is really hard to get in Hero Wars, but if you have him you need to run him with Peppy. This team works essentially everywhere in the game, especially in Arena and Guild Wars. This synergy is actually the strongest in Hero Wars, not other heroes have such a strong synergy. Krista + Lars: One of the strongest team combinations you can have is Lars & Krista as they will boost their skills with mark of water that Krista will applies with her Frozen needles and Chain of Frost skill. Now, first three fingers of my both hands give me that swollen sensation in the morning, my index finger still looks kind of bigger than the one on my non dominant hand, I had a cut/injury one day on it and it swell up the next day for a few days, then it reduced in size. Everything came back normal, ANA was 2+, but they wrote below that the ANA they found was not typical ANA for autoimmune diseases, it was moderate intensity and more likely associated to some kind of inflammation, medication use, alergy or some other, non-autoimmune conditions. thought it was RA so she did CBC again, Ast, alt, fibrinogen, urinalysis, and ordered C3, C4, RF, ANA, ANCA. Also, one morning I would have that feeling, the next I wouldn't. There were days my index finger would swell up. There's no remarkable visible swelling, I just have this kind of a morning sensation where my palm of the fingers give me a swollen feeling once I wake up and try to make a fist a couple times, then it is gone after few times. I remember I changed my work from using computer to not using it at all for 2 months and somehow my problem has stopped. She gave me naproxen but I don't think it did the trick back then. (To note, I was a heavy computer user, I used to be on a computer for about 7-8hrs every day for about 10 years). I went to a dr.2 months later while it was still being a little swollen, I did a CBC and urinalysis and everything was within normal range. Finger was swollen for about a month or smt. My dr.thought it was some kind of an infection so she prescribed amoxicillin which hadn't done much. Hello! In april last year I had a sudden dull pain in my middle joint of index finger, after giving it a massage for a few minutes I noticed it was swelling rapidly, the pain stopped the same night but in the morning I woke up with a swollen finger. Being a rougelike – mostly – it wouldn’t normally be as suited for short bursts of portable play, say on a bus ride, but the Deck’s quick resume feature lets you take a break whenever and immediately hop back into a run.Īt the suggestion of several RPS readers (and with the implicit recommendation of, apparently, scores of other Steam Deck owners), I’ve finally got round to playing Vampire Survivors. And it’s just as tense, inventive and witty on the Steam Deck: it runs at a perfect 60fps, and only needs the face buttons and a single thumbstick for its slick, combo-happy combat. Hades claimed, by Advent Calendar rules, RPS GOTY status back in 2020. There’s some very occasional stuttering but that’s present on high-end desktop PCs as well, and if you simply lower the Effects quality setting from High to Medium, you shouldn’t drop below 30fps. This translates perfectly to the Steam Deck’s controls, and despite being a bit of a looker, Stray avoids any serious performance issues on the portable hardware. Stray shakes off notions of merely being a haha-funny-cat novelty game with some stellar worldbuilding and intuitive puzzle-platforming, helped along by a sleek context-sensitive traversal style. It’s a clever, surprising, and unrelentingly charming introduction to your new gadget, not a mention a reminder that Valve should really make more games. It’s essentially a Steam Deck tutorial, designed to help you get used to the controls layout, but is entertainingly administered through a genuinely funny mini-jaunt through a pre-Portal Aperture Science. The short and sweet Aperture Desk Job isn’t just one of the best games to play on the Steam Deck – it should probably be the first one you try. Have a read, have a play, and should you want some more practical tips, you can check out our Steam Deck battery life guide and the best microSD cards for the Steam Deck. Sticking to Steam for now, here are my 30 best Steam Deck games suggestions. If, though, you are willing to put some more effort in, you can expand even beyond your Steam library by installing the Epic Games Launcher on the Steam Deck or using it for Xbox Cloud Gaming. But rest assured that these are all good games to try on the Valve-made machine, whether you’re still getting a feel for its thumbsticks and pinkie buttons or have already clocked a few long haul flights with it.Ī game also doesn’t need full Steam Deck Verified status to be on this list it just needs to be easily playable, without the need for any technical faffing besides maybe turning down the graphics settings. It’s not a ranking of quality, like our best strategy games or best FPS games guides, and the selection is basically just me acting as sole Opinion Lord. I don't think the people who praise it are delusional, I just don't think as many people who loved the base game will feel that way as the amount of high scores suggest. To be specific, this is a gathering of games that comfortably fit the Steam Deck’s hardware – its controls, display size and the like – while performing well on its mobile APU. I'd love another DLC that has more of the original mechanics, the capacity for greatness is 100% here. Spent half the length of the base game doing 20% of what I liked about it. Reasons I consider this inferior: - several gameplay aspects of the base game I loved are no longer prevalent - way easier to confuse yourself into getting stuck by progressing out of order - while the story is excellently weaved into the lore, I'm not happier for uncovering all the details - much more forced aesthetic than the base game Craftsmanship is excellent, but I can't justify saying I liked it, if it just didn't feel fun: - I didn't feel the same wonder as before, sans a couple brief jaw-dropping occasions - the theme is not what I signed up for, even though I anticipated feeling some extra eeriness - original game's ending fell flat for me, that was my only gripe with an otherwise masterpiece, but this felt even less rewarding - half my game time was permeated by frustration It detracted from how fondly I remember the base game due to repetitively playing a subset of the mechanics, half spent in an aesthetic that I did not enjoy, for too long. I really wanted to like this but instead feels like an annoying emo phase of the base game. I really wanted to like this but If you want to start totally clean and be (potentially negatively) surprised by its themes, skip this. We heard a lot of negative feedback from other electric toothbrush users who hated the need to keep it charged, hated how large the charger and brush was and Hated how gross the charger became or the fact that their batteries wear out after a year (leading to a need to replace the entire brush as the batteries were locked inside!)
